Mrs. Bates’ 3rd grade students discussed the three states of matter during tutoring with fun hands-on activities. They read a book about popcorn. The book taught them that popcorn kernels have small amounts of water (liquid) in them that turns to water vapor (gas) when heated up. This is how the popcorn pops. They then popped popcorn in the microwave. They also took heavy whipping cream (liquid) and turned it into butter (solid). They used the butter to butter their popcorn. #platorv

HS Basketball Frisco League Tournament starts Saturday, November 25. All games will be played at Laquey High School. #platorv
