Last night Plato cross country competed at Marshfield M. Results: Will Chatman medaled in 3rd place, time 17:30, a personal record. Bucky Bilderback medaled in 9th place, time 19:05, a personal record. Levi Crewse 31st place, time 21:48 Bryson Berry 34th place, time 21:49, a personal record. Nathaniel Brock 39th place, time 23:18, a personal record. Klayton Jaskot 43rd place, time 24:30, a personal record. Matthew Frost 45th place, time 25:19, a personal record. Dylan Sirek 46th place, time 25:21, a personal record. The boys' team got 4th place overall, beating out Fordland, Logan-Rogersville, and Marshfield, three much larger schools! The Girls team Kaylynn Bilderback medaled in 15th place, time 24:04, a personal record. Morgan Humphrey medaled in 16th place, time 24:10, a personal record. Zoey Day 26th place, time 27:08, a personal record. Audrey Brown 35th place, time 30:45. Ella Taylor 37th place, time 34:22.

Today, Ms. Delcour's classroom transformed into an engineering lab! Our 3rd grade scientists tackled an exciting STEM challenge using nothing but straws, paper, and tape to build pencil holders. Watching them problem-solve, collaborate, and create was absolutely fantastic. From brainstorming designs to reinforcing structures, they showed real ingenuity and teamwork. These young engineers proved that with a little creativity and determination, amazing things happen. Way to go, scientists! #platorv

Picture day is Friday, September 11th. We are looking for 4 parent volunteers to help picture day run smoothly. Please email jmccullough@plato.k12.mo.us if interested!

Some of the Plato Cross Country runners participated in the Donut 5K Run. Bucky and Will ran together and tied for 1st. Jakob was third overall and the first place middle school aged runner. Kaylynn was 4th overall finisher and first female finisher. There were strong showings by Autumn, Logan, Matthew Frost (not pictured) and Salem teams running mascot. Then they enjoyed some free donuts to finish out their morning! #platorv

🚌 Transportation Updates at Open House! 🚌 Parents, please stop by the cafeteria during Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 4:30–7:30 PM to visit with your child’s bus driver! 🚌 Bus numbers and routes have changed 🚌 Drivers are currently practicing their new routes 🚌 Get an estimated pick up and drop off time 🚌 Give your driver any transportation updates or information they need to know This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s driver, make sure they have the correct information, and ask any questions before the school year begins!
