Part 1: The preschool classes combined to do Project Lead the Way. Theyโre studying states of matter and students explored liquid. They had a station with water in the sensory bin with different containers to discover how liquids take the shape of their containers. They had a mixing liquids station where the students mixed oil, food coloring, and water in a bottle with glitter and jewels to discover how some liquids stay mixed and some separate. There was also a station where students used water colors to paint a picture of a liquid being poured out to help them remember that liquids can be poured. They had a station outside our windows ( the kids got to crawl through the window ๐) where students did a sponge and water relay race. At another station, students heard a book about what a liquid is and sorted cards with different solids and liquids. Students had so much fun! Next week, students are going to continue their study on states of matter with a sink or float exploration. #platorv
