๐ Hello! My name is Bethany Shrode. I have recently graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Religion. I am continuing my education to complete the certification process. I have worked multiple positions at Plato, ranging from being a substitute teacher, working through the Vista program, and working as a paraprofessional.
๐ I have had a great opportunity to grow within this district and am so thankful for the supportive people along the way. I am excited to announce that I have accepted the position as a high school English teacher for the upcoming school year. I am excited to branch out from elementary and move into high school.
๐ I have been married for 5 years to my husband, Jasiah Shrode, and we have a beautiful daughter named Piper Shrode. I have many hobbies that include fishing, crafting, antiquing, and anything outdoor involved.

๐Meet our new middle school English teacher, Kali Marshall! Hereโs what Mrs. Marshall has to say about herself:
๐ My name is Kali Marshall. I graduated high school from Stoutland, Missouri. I attended Ozarks Technical Community College out of high school where I obtained my Associates of Arts degree. I am attending Missouri State University for a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, minoring in Sociology, and am finishing my certification process. I have worked for Plato Schools since 2019 as a paraprofessional. I have had the opportunity to work with many of the wonderful people in Plato during my employment at the school. I am honored to continue working with this amazing community as the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English teacher.
๐ I have been with my spouse for 14 years and together we have two beautiful children. Tessla is 8 years old and Cooper is 5. I love to read and often have a book in my hand. I also have a small hobby farm that I enjoy working on and learning new things about. I am so excited to be the middle school English teacher for this upcoming school year and canโt wait for the journey to begin.

COMC will be in Plato on July 11-14. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. All ages are welcome.
**COMC will be giving sports physicals! COMC paperwork, and sports physical forms are in the high school foyer.**
An appointment is suggested by calling 877-406-2662. Please call with any questions.
COMC services include acute illness and infection; chronic disease checks; IMMUNIZATIONS; Wellness visits; SPORTS PHYSICALS; referrals for mammograms, etc.
The Mobile Medical Unit includes 2 exam rooms and an on-site laboratory.

๐Meet our new 3rd grade teacher, Jamie Collier! Hereโs what Mrs. Collier has to say about herself:
Hello my name is Jamie Collier. I am a Plato alumni from the class of 2001. After high school, I attended North Arkansas Community College where I received my Associate of Arts Degree. I have worked in the Plato School District in many roles to include coaching, paraprofessional, substitute teaching, and elementary secretary. I am currently finishing up my Bachelors of Elementary Education through Western Governor's University. I am honored to be working within my home town and look forward to teaching 3rd grade.
I have been married to my husband Robert for 18 years and together we have 3 children. Tillie, our oldest is 16; Hampton is 11; and Cotton is 3. During my spare time, I enjoy hanging out at the lake with my family, gardening, and raising chickens. Iโm so excited to be back at Plato Schools and look forward to giving back to a community that has given so much to me. #platorv


Congratulations to our PHS BETA Club whose dedication and commitment to academic excellence was honored by Plato High School being named a 2021 - 2022 National Beta School of Merit! For having students qualify for the National BETA Convention last week, PHS was also named a 2022 National Convention National BETA Club School! Jayden Echols, Nolan Fitzsimmons, and Destany Murray, thank you for your continued effort! First, you all were State competitors and now you all have competed at the National level! You've represented Missouri well in both competitions. Plato BETA students are among the best in Nashville at Beta Nationals! Mrs. Hunter and students headed home yesterday after having a great experience. #platorv

PHS baseball coaches, players, and participants had a good couple days of youth baseball camp. There were 30 participants between the two days, and 9 HS baseball players came out and helped. #platorv





Middle schoolers enjoyed a picnic style lunch in their field trip to paddy creek. #platorv





Part 2: Kindergarteners explore the Waynesville Park. Some of the students walked across the Roubidioux River. Students also saw several turtles sunbathing. #platorv
