5th graders missed their reading buddies over Christmas break. It was great to see how excited they were to see each other and share some books.

Reading buddies is a favorite time of the week for our 5th graders.
Sometimes being a good reading buddy means listening to someone else read.
5th grade was treated to a performance by the 6th and 7th grade bands on January 27th. Both bands did a fantastic job. The students favorite song was, of course, Go Big Blue!

5th graders listened intently to the 6th and 7th grade band concerts. hopefully next year we will get to see a lot of them performing with the band.
Hard to tell if preschool or 5th grade was better behaved during the 6th and 7th grade band performance.
Both bands did a great job!
Brain breaks are a great way to add some movement in upper elementary grades so that students can get the wiggles out and focus on their assignments.

The winter blues have set in so we  take frequent breaks to get our blood moving.
Our brain break activities give students choices that lead to assorted exercises.
